Australia climate - same or not??
Most travelers believe Australia is best traveled in \'our\' North American winter, when it\'s summer downunder. Nice to get out of our cold, yes. But Australia is IDEAL during the North American summer. Icons like the Outback, the Reef, Rainforest and \'Top End\' of Kakadu/Darwin are in their best weather: May-October. During the Aussie summer (Dec-March), these destinations will be HOT and HUMID, or HOT HOT and DRY DRY (outback temps of 116F!! and black flies that will drive you insance). Reef and Rainforests of North Queensland are in their \'wet\' and cyclone season. If wanting the reef/rainforests in the Aussie summer months, consider the south end of the reef and subtropical rainforests. Ask about the best time to travel to comfortably see what interests you!
