AYURVEDA HOLISTIC HEALTH RESORT

In peaceful and exquisite Sri Lanka
Two and three week programs

Ayuveda Holistic treatments are gaining global interest as an alternative or supplement to Western Medicine.
In my opinion it is the most comprehensive natural treatment available within the holistic system and immediate healing is achieved.

Having just returned from two weeks of treatment, in Sri Lanka, direct experience speaks loudest. (My second visit)
I recommend Sri Lankan resorts ---going direct to the sourse, experiencing the culture, as you are revitalizing, with the additional benefit of healthy pricing for the all inclusive program.
Sri Lanka, was Ceylon, before it gained its independence from Britain. It is primarily Buddhist in every day living and this too has its own healing. Here one shares the road with bicycles, cows, tut tuts, dogs, pedestrians, monks and an occasional tourist, while the Singhalese, are always smiling, friendly, and helpful. The Country is stunning with microclimates ranging from high tea planations, rain forests, wildlife preserves, bird sanctuaries and beaches. Cay trips are available during your stay.

Ayurvedic centers of two kinds:
1. Luxury hotels which offer treatments on a walk in, short term basis, in the fashion of a day spa.
2. Holistic Health Resorts, which focus on two or three week intensive treatments, which include a consultaion and diagnosis,by a physician , ayurvedic meals prepared specific to your condition, daily message, steam, and herbal prescriptions for intense detoxification and revitalization and control of such diseases as high blood pressure, diabetes, skin cancer, emphysema, high cholesterol, and many ,many others. The food is healthy and abundant, -dahl, nam, chutneys, Kongee, fresh fruits and 7-8 vegetable dishes per meal. Chicken, lamb and fish are also available. Abundant herbal teas and the finest Celon tea from the tea estates are free flowing Men, women, couples, singles, ages 24 –86 seem to be the range of clientele, many of which have come for return visits every year. Why? It works. It is fun and you return home healthy and transformed.

If you are curious or need convincing try the day spa variety and if you are serious about taking control of your health, be sure to select the best Holistic Health Resort available. We can arrange this for you and you will be transformed;I speak from experience.

Five to seven physicians are available to you at the call of the slightest hangnail. When you come for your consultation and treatment, the doctor is waiting for YOU, in treatment rooms that face the sea, coconut palms, swimming pools, with many varieties of birds on your veranda. Prescriptions of powders, concoctions, tonics, twigs, bark and leaves, are prescribed custom to your diagnosis of the pulses, and your medical history if you bring it with you.

Message is give by two trained therapists working simultaneously and in synchronicity, while anointing your body with potent herbal medicated oils. A steam room or bath of lemon, tamirind and yogurt, follows, all of which stimulates the circulatory, immune and nervous systems, rejuvenates the skin and body tissues, relieves stress, induces sound sleep, and revives the body and mind.

The therapists stay with you through out the duration of your program and a very close relationship develops between them, you and your doctor, and that treatment which is prescribed to you daily.

Of special interest and effect is the pouring of warm oils over your forehead for 30 min, five consecutive days, with the head then wrapped in a towel, out of wind and sun. This treatment, enhances circulation in the brain, improves memory, and bestows sound sleep. It relieves tension, and provides peace of mind. It is pure nirvana.

A two-week program was just about right for me, and I spent the final week in this country in an small inland resort, with four art deco bungalows, adjacent to a waterfall and swimming pond. I took quiet hikes, up into the tea plantations, the rubber plantations, crossing a suspension bridge that took me to another water fall in which to swim or bathe. Birds are abundant. No other human being in site.. It is nothing less than Paradise on Earth.
